Games from our point of view.
Righteous Games is an independent studio building bold, systemic worlds where players don't just play — they author. We ship games with a point of view: living AI, cultural weight, and real player agency.
It started with one sentence.
Before we hired anyone, before we had a name on a door, we put a single sentence on the wall: we build worlds worth fighting for. It was not a slogan. It was a filter. Every idea that has walked through our door since gets held up against it, and most of them do not survive.
Righteous Games was founded in 2026 by a small group of people who had spent years inside bigger studios and left with the same frustration: too many games ask you to watch, not to act. We wanted to make the other kind — worlds that hand you real tools and then get out of your way.
We chose to stay independent and remote-first on purpose, with roots in Atlanta and teammates across time zones. Small teams move fast, argue honestly, and ship with conviction. To build three ambitious worlds with a roster this lean, we built a shared AI foundation that lets each title inherit the hard-won systems of the others. That is how a studio our size gets to swing this big.
Four rules we build by
Author, don't consume
Our games hand players real tools. Systems over scripts, agency over rails. A world worth fighting for is one you can bend, break, and make your own.
Culture with weight
We make games that mean something — history, identity, and point of view built in, not bolted on. Games are big enough to carry real cultural weight, and we hold ourselves to that.
Living worlds
AI that behaves, reacts, and surprises. Worlds that keep moving when you look away, populated by things that have somewhere to be.
Ship with conviction
Small team, high ownership, allergic to filler. Every feature earns its place, and when it doesn't, we cut it without ceremony.
Built on one foundation
People are surprised how small we are for the slate we carry. The short answer is that the hardest part — the AI — is shared. Underneath our games sits a foundational AI runtime that rests on three pillars, and when we sharpen one for a single game, all three get better.
Agents
One runtime for memory, planning, and safe emergent behavior — powering thousands of AgentPals creatures and Blackhats adversaries alike.
World simulation
A shared way to model persistent, reactive worlds: economies that move, factions that remember, events that ripple outward.
Tooling
Editors, live-tuning, and observability so designers see a change in seconds, not after an overnight build. Fast iteration is a feature.

No seat-warmers. No filler.
We are a place for people who want their fingerprints on something that will outlast a launch window. High ownership, honest arguments, real rest between hard pushes. That is the studio we are building.
